Bicycle Service at Home in Abu Dhabi: Prices and How It Works

You can have a bicycle serviced without leaving your building. A technician comes to your home, office, hotel or event and works on the bike there. On a service package, they ride it before handing it back. This page sets out what that costs, how long it takes, and when it is the wrong choice.

What does a bicycle service cost in Abu Dhabi?

GOCYC runs four packages. Prices are in dirhams and include the technician travelling to you.

PackagePriceTimeBest for
Wash & LubeAED 8945 minRoutine upkeep between bigger services
Basic ServiceAED 1991h 30Regular riders needing tuning and safety checks
General ServiceAED 3292h 30 – 3hDeeper mechanical care and smoother shifting
Full OverhaulAED 5593h – 4hA complete strip, clean and rebuild

If you only need one job done, you do not have to buy a package. Single services start at AED 25 for cleat and pedal installation, AED 35 for a tyre or tube, AED 60 for gear adjustment or a tubeless setup, AED 70 for a brake setup and bleed, and AED 85 for wheel services such as truing. Assembling a bike out of the box starts at AED 150.

Listed prices are a deposit. The final figure depends on the bicycle, the parts it needs and how much work it turns out to want. The technician tells you before starting, not after finishing.

What is included in a basic service?

A Basic Service at AED 199 covers a standard bike wash, gear and brake tuning, a bolt torque check, a safety inspection and a test ride. That is the level most riders need two or three times a year.

A General Service at AED 329 adds a deep wash, drivetrain and brake tuning, and bearing services for the bottom bracket and hubs. A Full Overhaul at AED 559 opens every bearing, cleans and repacks it, aligns the wheels and deep-cleans the drivetrain.

How long does it take?

From 45 minutes for a Wash & Lube to about four hours for a Full Overhaul. The bike stays with you the whole time, so there is no day or two without it while it sits in a queue.

Which areas are covered?

Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The technician travels to your address — there is no drop-off, and no workshop to find parking at.

How do I book?

Book in the GOCYC app. Appointment slots run every two hours from 08:00 Gulf time. You can also book on the services page, but a website booking is a request rather than a confirmed slot — the team checks availability and comes back to you.

When is a workshop the better answer?

Mobile servicing is not the right call for everything. A wheel build from loose spokes, a frame alignment, a bearing press that has seized solid, or anything needing a workshop stand and a full tool wall is better done on a bench. If your job is one of those, we will tell you rather than send a van to do it badly.

For everything else — tuning, wear, punctures, brakes, a bike that has sat in a garage since last winter — the work is identical in a car park and in a workshop, and one of those does not cost you an afternoon.

Book in the app

The app is the better way to book. Your service history stays in one place, so the next technician can see what was done last time, and you are not waiting on an email thread to agree a time.

It is also not only for servicing. Bike rentals, event and group-ride registration, cycling gear from the shops we work with, and route maps for the tracks around Abu Dhabi and Dubai all sit behind the same login — one account rather than a different arrangement with a different shop for each one. Booking on the website works, but it is the only channel that cannot show you the rest.
