Most bikes do not need a full service. They need one thing fixed. This is what each individual job costs, so you can work out whether to book a single repair or a package.
Every price below is what GOCYC charges to come to you in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Listed prices are a deposit — the final figure depends on the bicycle and the parts it turns out to need, and you are told before the work starts.
Tyres and punctures
Tyre and tube work starts at AED 35. A tubeless setup starts at AED 60.
This is the single most common thing riders ask us for — across 207 service descriptions, tyres, tubes and punctures came up in 14% of them, more than any other component.
Brakes
A brake setup and bleed starts at AED 70. Cable installation or replacement starts at AED 40.
If braking has gone vague rather than noisy, the cable is often the culprit rather than the pads — particularly on a bike ridden near the coast, where the inner corrodes inside its housing where you cannot see it.
Gears and drivetrain
Gear adjustment and tuning starts at AED 60. A full drivetrain installation and setup starts at AED 180.
Wheels
Wheel services — truing, a rim swap, or a build — start at AED 85.
Truing a slightly buckled wheel is a roadside job. A wheel built from loose spokes and a bare rim is not, and we will tell you when that is what you are looking at.
Bearings, hubs and headsets
Hub and bottom bracket services start at AED 80. Headset and fork services start at AED 100.
Almost nobody books these. Out of those same 207 descriptions, exactly one mentioned a bearing — not because bearings survive the climate, but because they fail silently. Worth reading what heat and sand do to a bicycle if that surprises you.
Assembly and transport
Assembling a bike out of the box starts at AED 150. A full build or rebuild from a frame and parts starts at AED 400. Packing a bike for travel starts at AED 150, and collection and delivery starts at AED 75.
Bought a bike online and it arrived in a box? That is the AED 150 job. Gears and brakes come out of a box needing setting up, not just bolting together, which is the part people underestimate.
Small jobs
Cleat and pedal installation starts at AED 25, the cheapest thing on the list. Insurance quotations are AED 200.
When is a package cheaper?
Add up the jobs. If your bike needs gears tuned (AED 60), brakes set up (AED 70) and a general check, you are already at AED 130 and climbing — a Basic Service at AED 199 covers a wash, gears, brakes, bolt torque, a safety inspection and a test ride.
The rule of thumb: one job, book the job. Two or more, book the package. Packages run from AED 89 for a Wash & Lube to AED 559 for a Full Overhaul.
How to book a single job
Single services are bookable in the GOCYC app the same way a package is — pick the job, pick a time from your van’s availability, and pay there. You can also describe the problem and let the technician tell you which it is, which is the better route if you are not certain what is wrong.
