# What the GOCYC App Does

GOCYC started as a way to get a bicycle serviced without carrying it across the city. It has grown well past that. This is a plain list of what the app actually does today, so you can tell whether it covers what you need.

## Book and pay for a service

Pick a package, choose from your van’s real availability, describe the problem and attach photos of it, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can put more than one bicycle on the same booking, and promo codes work at checkout.

Packages are Wash & Lube from AED 89, Basic Service from AED 199, General Service from AED 329 and Full Overhaul from AED 559. Individual jobs start at AED 25.

## Follow the job while it happens

Every booking has a live progress view: your van being assigned, then assigned, then the date and time it will arrive, then on the way, then arrived. On iPhone it also runs as a Live Activity, so the status sits on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island without opening the app.

You can cancel a booking yourself from the same screen. When the job is finished you can rate it — stars and a written review, against the van or shop that did the work.

## Rent a bicycle

Browse rentals, choose quantities, and pick delivery to your address or collection. Paid in the app like anything else, and you can cancel before it starts.

## Find and join events

Rides and races appear with dates, details and who else is going. Some are free to join, some are paid in the app, and some hand you over to the organiser’s own registration. Paying holds your place.

You can add a bike rental to your event booking, comment on an event and reply to others, see the participant list, and cancel your place. Event passes can be added to Apple Wallet.

## Buy parts and gear

The shop tab carries products from the bike shops we work with. Cart, checkout, card or wallet payment, standard or priority delivery. You can cancel an order before it ships, and rate what you have bought.

## Plan where to ride

There is a map of bike shops and repair points, and a library of curated routes you can preview and download as GPX for your head unit.

There is also a route planner. Draw a ride, name it, save it to your account and export it as GPX. Your saved routes stay in your profile.

## The community side

Connect Strava and your rides feed a monthly distance leaderboard. Follow other riders and clubs, post to the feed, like and comment. Rider and club profiles are public within the app.

There is a community marketplace where members list bikes and kit for sale, with favourites and direct contact. On iPhone, home-screen widgets show your next event and your current ranking.

## Your account

Sign in with your phone number and a one-time code, or with Apple or Google. Save your bicycles to a garage so you do not re-enter them, save multiple addresses with a map pin, and save payment cards.

Every order carries a proper tax invoice you can open as a PDF. Orders and appointments can be added to Apple Wallet.

## Support, languages and notifications

There is a support thread in the app that reaches the GOCYC team directly, with your orders attached to it.

The app runs in English and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout. It follows your phone’s dark or light mode. Push notifications can be tuned by category, and you can delete your account from settings.

## What the website cannot do

Almost all of the above. This website has no accounts, no cart and no checkout. You cannot pay for anything here, buy accessories, rent a bicycle, track a service, message support, rate a job, cancel a booking, get an invoice, connect Strava, save a route, or read the site in Arabic.

The website exists to explain the service and take a request. The app is the product.

GOCYC is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. Servicing covers Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
