1. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, the following definitions apply:
- "GOCYC" refers to the company, its website, mobile application, and all related services provided under the brand.
- "Platform" means the GOCYC website, mobile application, and any other digital interface through which GOCYC’s services are provided.
- "User" means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform, including but not limited to cyclists, renters, buyers, sellers, event participants, and service seekers.
- "Account" means the personal profile created by a User on the Platform, which requires accurate and complete information.
- "Seller" refers to any User listing second-hand cycling products for sale on the Community Store.
- "Retail Partner" refers to any brand or shop offering new cycling products through the Platform.
- "Service Provider" refers to partners providing mobile bicycle repair and maintenance services.
- "Event Organizer" refers to any individual or company that lists or organizes cycling events on the Platform.
- "Rental Agreement" refers to the contractual arrangement between GOCYC and a User who rents a bicycle or accessory through the Platform.
- "Payment Gateway" refers to the secure third-party service used to process payments on the Platform.
2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & USER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Account Creation: Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. Inaccuracies may lead to suspension or termination of your account. You may not use a name that is deemed offensive. This includes the use of names of a hateful, racist, defamatory, ethnically offensive, obscene, vulgar or sexually explicit nature, as well as any other offensive wording.
- Business Accounts: Retail Partners, event organizers, and service providers must supply valid business credentials and licenses when registering.
3. SERVICES OFFERED ON THE PLATFORM
GOCYC provides a suite of cycling-related services, including but not limited to:
3.1 Bicycle Rentals
- Booking Process: Users can book bicycles directly through the Platform. By initiating a rental, you agree to these rental terms as part of the overall Terms & Conditions.
- Payment: Rental fees are to be pre-paid via the Platform’s secure payment gateway. In some cases, a security deposit may be required. This deposit will be fully refunded upon the safe return of the bicycle, subject to any deductions for damage or late returns.
- User Liability: You are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft incurred during the rental period. In the event of damage, you agree to cover repair costs up to a maximum of AED 1,000 per bicycle. If a bicycle is lost or stolen, a replacement fee of maximum AED 4,000 per bicycle will apply depending on the price of the bicycle.
- Late Return Policy: Bicycles must be returned by the agreed drop-off time. Late returns will incur an additional fee of AED 100 per day per bicycle.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental start time to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental start time will not be refunded.
- Acknowledgment: By booking a rental through the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these rental terms and agree to be bound by them as part of the overall GOCYC Terms & Conditions.
3.2 Community Store (Second-Hand Sales)
- Product Listings: Users (Sellers) can list second-hand cycling items on the Community Store. Listings must include accurate descriptions and images.
- Payment Processing: Transactions processed through the Platform incur a fee of 2.9% + 1 AED, deducted from the seller’s total. Alternatively, sellers may opt for direct bank transfers to avoid this fee.
- Seller Obligations: Sellers must update or remove listings if items are sold outside the Platform. GOCYC is not liable for any disputes arising from external transactions.
3.3 Retail Product Purchases
- Retail Partners: New cycling products from our verified retail partners are available for purchase on the Platform. Orders are fulfilled directly by the partner, and GOCYC acts solely as the facilitator.
- Dispute Resolution: Any issues regarding product quality, returns, or deliveries are to be resolved with the respective Retail Partner.
3.4 Event Registrations
- Registration: Users can register for cycling events hosted on the Platform. All cancellation and refund policies for events are governed by the event organizers.
- Data Handling: Registration data will be collected and shared with event organizers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
3.5 Mobile Bicycle Repair & Maintenance
- Booking Services: Users can book on-demand bicycle servicing through GOCYC’s network of mobile service providers.
- Pre-Payment: All service bookings require pre-payment via the Platform.
- Cancellation & Refunds: Cancellations are eligible for a full refund only if made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service slot. Requests made after this period will not be refunded.
- Service Quality: GOCYC facilitates the service but is not liable for the quality of the repair work. Any issues should be addressed with the respective service provider and reported to GOCYC.
4. PAYMENTS, FEES & REFUNDS

Secure Transactions: All payments on the Platform are processed securely through our Payment Gateway.
- Transaction Fees: For payments processed through the Platform, a fee of 2.9% + 1 AED is applied. Sellers can choose to accept direct bank transfers to avoid these fees, though GOCYC is not liable for such transactions.
- Refund Policies: Refunds for rentals, event registrations, and services will be processed according to the specific terms of each service. GOCYC reserves the right to adjust refund policies as necessary.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Ownership: All content, logos, trademarks, and materials on the Platform are the property of GOCYC or its licensors.
- Usage: Users may not copy, modify, or distribute any content from the Platform without explicit permission from GOCYC.
- User-Generated Content: By uploading any content (reviews, images, etc.), users grant GOCYC a non-exclusive license to use this content for marketing and promotional purposes.
6. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & SERVICES
- The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. GOCYC does not endorse or assume responsibility for the content or practices of these external sites.
- Users are advised to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites they visit.
7. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMERS
- General Liability: GOCYC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform or any services provided.
- Service Risks: Users assume all risks associated with renting bicycles, purchasing products, and using services provided by third-party partners.
- External Transactions: GOCYC is not responsible for issues arising from transactions conducted outside the Platform.
8. TERMINATION OF SERVICE
- Right to Terminate: GOCYC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms.
- User-Initiated Termination: Users may close their accounts at any time by contacting customer support.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, all rights granted to the user will immediately cease.
9.
INDEMNIFICATION
Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold GOCYC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their use of the Platform or breach of these Terms.
10. CHANGES TO TERMS
- Modifications: GOCYC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The revised Terms & Conditions will govern your future use of our Platform, so we strongly suggest that you visit and review our Terms & Conditions periodically. Each version is specifically dated. If you do not agree to the revised version, you must immediately stop using our Site and Service.
- Continued Use: Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
